SoCal Home Firebombed, No Injuries Reported

WEST COVINA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say someone hurled a fire
bomb at a West Covina home with a family asleep inside, but no one
was hurt.

West Covina police Lt. Dan Brooks says the attack happened about
3 a.m. Saturday on the east side of the city 20 miles east of Los Angeles.

Brooks says a man, his father and a woman were asleep when someone tossed "Molotov cocktail-style devices" into the home,
catching it on fire.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze in about 15 minutes but Brooks says the bottom story of the house was badly damaged.

The lieutenant says an arson that occurred a month ago at a neighbor's home is believed to be related.
