ACTON, Calif. (AP) - A man was killed after his car was struck head-on by a driver going the wrong way on a freeway.
Authorities say the crash occurred about 3 a.m. when a 30-year-old man driving a SUV was headed north on the southbound side of the 14 Freeway in Acton.
Police say the driver, who suffered major injuries, sideswiped a car, then struck a 2006 Nissan Murano, killing its driver. The driver of the sideswiped car had moderate injuries.
Police shut down the freeway shortly after the crash, but it has since reopened.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
