DANVILLE, Calif. (AP) - A 15-year-old boy is under arrest for
allegedly shooting to death a Danville teenager on his front stoop
- the first homicide the town has seen in two years.
Police say the suspect, whose name is being withheld because of
his age, was picked up around 2 a.m. at a relative's house in
17-year-old Ryan Fuchs, a senior at San Ramon High
School, was shot Tuesday night in front of his home. He died from a
single gunshot wound to his neck.
Danville Police Chief Chris Wenzel said at a news conference
Friday that investigators believe the suspect knew Fuchs and that
the shooting was drug-related.
The shooting has sparked an outpouring of sympathy for Fuchs'
family. On Wednesday, more than 100 people held a candlelight vigil
in front of the his home.
