Orange County Wants A Cut Of Obama Economic Package

DATELINE (AP) - Orange County wants the White House to help
untangle its congested roadways.

The county known for its freeway gridlock is preparing a list of transportation projects officials hope will be funded by the massive economic-stimulus package president-elect Barack Obama has
promised Americans.

The plan includes $90 billion to modernize the nation's transportation systems.

Orange County wants about $2 billion of the federal dollars to finance 410 projects ranging from repaving city streets to widening freeways.
