DANA POINT, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a paddleboarder has discovered the floating body of a man wearing a life jacket at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point.
Orange County Sheriff's Lt. Tom Slayton says deputies got a call around 5 p.m. Friday of the body floating about 100 yards from a lifeguard tower.
Slayton says preliminary reports suggest the man may have fallen from a dingy as he tried to make his way to or from a boat anchored farther out at sea.
The body has not been officially identified but Slayton says the man lived on a boat and there is no indication of foul play.
