Search On For Baby Cn Oakland Canal Crash

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Rescuers have resumed their search for a 10-month old baby missing after a pickup truck carrying several children plunged into a roadside canal flooded with rainwater.

Oakland police say six people were in the truck when it crashed Saturday night, killing the driver. Two other adults and two children were injured.

Oakland Fire Department Lt. David Brue said searchers, including a dive team, began canvassing a 2-mile area Sunday morning after failing to find the baby the night before.

Brue said authorities have found only one of three car seats that were in the truck when it crashed.

Police say the truck collided with a limousine and flipped off the rain-soaked road into a flood-control canal.
