ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Disneyland was closed last night for a boisterous birthday party for Miley Cyrus.
The teen star doesn't turn 16 until November 23rd, but she celebrated early with a supersized party attended by 5,000 people.
The "Hannah Montana" star performed four songs, her father Billy Ray Cyrus also sang and guests got to roam around the park. Several popular attractions, such as Big Thunder Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean, remained open to partygoers.
Disney used the event to promote their upcoming "What Will You Celebrate?" marketing initiative, which encourages tourists to take "celebration vacations" with their families. Beginning next year, guests at Disneyland and Walt Disney World in Florida can gain free theme park admission on their birthday with a valid ID and proof of birth date.
