CARLSBAD, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a single-engine aircraft has crashed in a field near an airport in Carlsbad, killing the pilot.
A dispatcher with the Carlsbad Fire Department said Sunday the Bonanza BE-36 went down in a field southeast of McClellan-Palomar
airport around 7:15 a.m.
No one else was on the plane. The name of the pilot was not released.
Investigators are at the crash scene trying to determine its cause.
