Thousands Of Volunteers Clean Up Bay Area Beaches

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - The California Coastal Commission estimates
volunteers collected 742,154 pounds of garbage, from empty soda
cans to drug paraphernalia, from San Francisco Bay Area beaches.

More than 55,000 people gave up their Saturday to pick up debris along the Bay Area's coastline as part of an annual clean-up.
