Boyfriend Arrested In Long Beach Toddler Death

LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) - Police have arrested a 22-year-old man in the death of a toddler found in a trash bin in a Long Beach alley.

Long Beach police Sgt. David Marander said Saturday that Anthony
Jerome Hall was taken into custody in the death of his girlfriend's 1-year-old son.

Hall was arrested for investigation of murder late Friday, hours after a man found the body of toddler Nathan Coleman in a large green rollaway bin.

Marander says Coleman appears to have been a victim of child abuse, but the exact cause of death will be determined by medical examiners.

Coroner's Lt. Kelly Yagerlener says an autopsy will probably be conducted Monday or Tuesday.
