1 Dead, 2 Injured In San Jose Hit-And-Run

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Police say the driver of a large sport utility vehicle is under arrest after allegedly running down three men at a San Jose park, killing one and injuring the other two.

San Jose police spokesman Enrique Garcia said the white Chevrolet Suburban struck the victims around 8:45 a.m. Sunday. He said investigators believe the driver hit the victims intentionally and are treating the case as a homicide.

Garcia said one victim was pronounced dead at the scene while the two others were hospitalized, one in stable condition and the other in critical.

Police said the suspect fled the scene at Hillview Park and was arrested about an hour later in another part of the city.

Authorities have not released the names of the victims or the suspect.
