Man Killed in LA Crash Was Driving Car Of Murder Victim

ROSEMEAD, Calif. (AP) - Police say a man killed in a fiery crash after a police chase was driving the car of a murder victim.

The 2002 Toyota 4Runner belonged to 64-year-old Connie Chang, who was found shot to death on Aug. 6 at a cafe she owned in Gardena.

Her car was missing. Los Angeles police say they spotted it and had it under surveillance at about 1:45 p.m. Saturday when the driver took off.

The chase went through Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles and Alhambra and ended in Rosemead when the car crashed and rolled
several times.

Police say the driver began shooting from inside the car, which caught fire. Police did not shoot back.
