Fire Burning On Travis Air Force Base

FAIRFIELD, Calif. (AP) - A fire on Travis Air Force Base that has destroyed at least 80 vacant homes scheduled for demolition is now 80 percent contained.

The Air Force says no occupied homes were evacuated.

The eight-alarm fire started as a grass fire at about 3 p.m. and quickly spread to the base.
