Motorists Stop On Calif. Freeway To Collect Cash

MONTEREY PARK, Calif. (AP) - An unexpected shower of money
rained down on a Southern California freeway.

Highway police say a motorcyclist dropped a canvas bag stuffed with cash on Interstate 10 east of Los Angeles on Sunday.

Several passing motorists stopped in 65 mph traffic to pick up the loose bills and drove away when the California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene.

Officer Anthony Martin said a man riding a Harley Davidson told authorities a computer bag he was carrying ripped and spilled money
all over the freeway.

Martin said it was not immediately known how much cash was in the bag or how much drivers made away with.
