Oakland authorities are hoping up to $10,000 in reward money will lead them to the gunman who shot and killed a 15-year-old boy over the weekend.
Investigators say Derrick Mixon was shot during a confrontation near his East Oakland home Saturday night.
The teen was able to make it back to his home, but collapsed outside.
He died less than an hour later at a local hospital.
The killing is Oakland's 72nd homicide of the year.
Last year at this time there were 64 homicides.
