3 Hurt In San Diego Market Crash

SAN DIEGO (AP) - San Diego police say a car has accidentally struck an injured three people at a local farmers market, including a 70-year-old man who suffered a broken leg.

Sgt. Garry Collins two other people were bumped by the car and had only minor injuries but all three were taken to the hospital.

Collins says a driver was trying to leave the parking area of a Pacific Beach farmers market at about 10:40 a.m. Saturday when he had a problem working the clutch on an uphill grade. Collins says the car lurched forward at slow speed and hit pedestrians.

The 40-year-old driver was not cited.
