Police: Anaheim Officer Wounded In Leg

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a police officer investigating an indecent exposure complaint was shot in the leg Sunday outside a motel near Disneyland.

Anaheim police Sgt. Rick Martinez says the shooting happened shortly before 8 a.m. when two officers arrived at the motel a little less than a mile from Disneyland. Police were told a middle-aged man was exposing himself from inside a motel room.

Shorts were fired after a man in his 40s got into a car to leave.

The officer suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Further details were not immediately available and the case was under investigation.
