EMERYVILLE, Calif. (AP) - Authorities are investigating how two people died after their bodies were found at Northern California beaches Thursday.
Police say a jogger first spotted a woman's body on an Emeryville beach around 7:15 a.m. While there were no immediate signs of trauma, the San Francisco Chronicle reports police have not ruled out a homicide.
The newspaper reports the second body was found floating in the surf off Ocean Beach in San Francisco.
San Francisco Fire Department spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge says a passer-by spotted the body in the waves at 7:26 a.m.
The victim's gender was not immediately known.
Autopsies will be conducted to determine how both victims died.
