PORTERVILLE, Calif. (AP) - Police in central California have arrested a man and woman after finding a pipe bomb, illegal explosive materials, plus marijuana and methamphetamine in their home.
Porterville police said officers investigating reports of suspicious activity at a mobile home park found the illicit items in the pair's home Saturday morning.
Residents in the area were evacuated until the bomb material was deemed safe.
Investigators also found evidence of marijuana cultivation in the suspects' home.
Police said 57-year-old Jeannie Chaney and 56-year-old Dave Easlon were booked at the Tulare County Jail.
