CAMPO, Calif. (AP) - A published report says at least three people have been shot near the U.S.-Mexico border in San Diego County.
The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that ambulances were sent to the scene near Campo, Calif. at about 10:20 Friday night to treat at least three shooting victims, according to a dispatcher with the Heartland Fire Authority.
The identity and condition of the victims was not immediately clear.
The California Highway Patrol told the newspaper that an undetermined number of people were shot on the Mexican side of the border and came across to the U.S. side.
U.S. Border patrol officials had no comment when reached by phone.
