SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (AP) - An El Cerrito man is being held without bail after being charged in the shooting death of a man described as an associate of the Hells Angels.
Nineteen-year-old Joseph Farnsworth did not enter a plea after being charged Thursday with murder and other charges in the fatal shooting of William Maclean last month in Marin County.
The 25-year-old Maclean was shot as he rode in a pickup truck that was escorting a procession of Hells Angels motorcyclists on Highway 101 on May 24.
Marin County authorities have released few details on their investigation, but describe the shooting as a "random act of violence associated with road rage."
Also charged in the case is a 20-year-old Mill Valley woman.
Jessica Gordon has been charged with one count of being an accessory after the fact and other charges.
Farnsworth and Gordon are both scheduled to return to court on June 27.
