Sheriff Releases Name Of Suspect In Case Of Drugged Skater

SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) - An Orange County arrest warrant has been issued for a man in the drugging of former Olympic ice dancer Oksana "Pasha" Grishuk.

James Halstead is charged with one felony count of giving a "narcotic, anesthetic and intoxicating agent" to an unwitting woman. The 61-year-old Santa Ana insurance salesman has eluded authorities.

Grishuk was at the posh Saint Regis Monarch Beach in Orange County for a business meeting when she began to feel ill. She discovered a dissolved pill in the bottom of her drink and investigators determined it was the date-rape drug GHB.

The 36-year old ice dancer won gold medals in 1994 and 1998.
