BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Police in Berkeley are investigating the weekend death of a University of California, Berkeley student who
apparently fell from the roof of an apartment building -- one day after graduating.
Twenty-two-year-old Alan Hamai died early Saturday morning after
evidently falling from the three-story apartment building near Telegraph Avenue.
Hamai had graduated with an anthropology degree Friday morning.
Police spoke with acquaintances who were with him until 3 a-m on
Saturday, but could find no one who reported being with him immediately before his death.
It's not clear whether it was an accidental fall, a suicide or something else. There was no sign of a struggle.
