LOS ANGELES (AP) - An 18-year-old man has been shot to death and
two others are wounded after a gunman opened fire at a party in
East Los Angeles.
Sheriff's deputy Ricardo Pedroza says the unidentified gunman pulled out a handgun early Friday and fired several rounds.
Jeffrey Alvarado was struck in the torso. He was pronounced dead
shortly after being taken to a hospital.
Pedroza says two other men suffered gunshot wounds, one in the
arm and the other in the leg.
Investigators questioned several people at the scene to determine what triggered the shooting. No arrests have been made.
