LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities say a taxi driver has been shot
to death while driving his cab in East Los Angeles.
Andres Delamadrid was driving to pick up a fare Friday night when he crashed into a parked car on Gleason Avenue near Evergreen Cemetery, according to a police statement. Investigators say the
37-year-old Delamadrid was then shot once in the chest. He attempted to drive away and struck another vehicle.
Delamadrid was taken to a hospital where he later died.
Investigators have no suspects and say it's unclear whether the attack was an attempted robbery.
