OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - A 21-year-old Oakland woman who was hit
by a stray bullet as she slept in her bed has died.
Authorities say Shaneice Davis was pronounced dead Wednesday
afternoon after being taken off life support.
Police say the stray shot went through her apartment wall and struck her while she slept in her bed late Monday night.
She is a mother of a one-year-old daughter, who was not in the
apartment at the time.
The shot was one of several fired during a fired in a barrage of rounds at a group of teens attending a memorial for another shooting victim.
Three men at the memorial were also hit by the gunfire. They are
expected to recover from their wounds.
