SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - A 51-year-old Sacramento man is in critical condition after he was pinned against a bank's wall by an out-of-control driver.
The California Highway Patrol says the victim was approaching a
Wells Fargo bank automatic teller machine Friday afternoon when he
was struck by an Acura Integra driven by an 82-year-old Citrus
He suffered severe leg damage and was reported in critical condition Saturday at Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael.
Another bystander was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
CHP Officer Lizz Dutton says the driver may have hit the accelerator instead of the brake. The driver hasn't been charged, but will have her driver's license re-evaluated.
None of the three were being identified.
