Alameda County Probation Officer Fatally Shot In Puerto Rico

An Alameda County probation officer is dead after he was shot during a fight in a Puerto Rico bar.

Authorities say Eddie Maco Campbell II died after being shot in the head, chest and shoulder Saturday inside a bar in a popular tourist area.

A probation official says the 37-year-old Campbell had worked for the Alameda County Probation Department for about one year.

He had worked as group counselor at the Alameda County Juvenile Hall from 2000 to 2006.

Campbell may have been in Puerto Rico to attend a family wedding.

Police say it was not immediately clear what started the argument.
