Police say a 50-year-old Westminster woman who suffered a stroke following an attempted purse snatching in which she was pepper sprayed has died.
Police Officer Van Woodson says Kun Min Kim was taken off life-support Thursday and pronounced dead at Orange Coast Memorial
Woodson says an autopsy on her body is scheduled for Friday, and
the case is now a homicide investigation.
Kim had been on life-support since Sunday evening's attack. Police say a woman sprayed Kim while she parked in her apartment complex. The woman fled with what turned out to be a lunch sack.
Police say Kim made it to her apartment, then was transported by
paramedics to the hospital, where she suffered the stroke.
