Oxnard Junior High School Shooting Victim Dies

OXNARD, Calif. (AP) - An Oxnard police spokesman says the 15-year-old boy who was shot Tuesday at a junior high school has died.

Spokesman David Keith says Lawrence King died of head wounds Wednesday at St. John's Regional Medical Center.

A 14-year-old eighth-grader was arrested near E.O. Green Junior High shortly after the shooting, which occurred in a computer lab where more than 20 other students were present.

That boy was booked for investigation of attempted murder. Ventura County District Attorney Greg Totten says he now could face charges of murder and use of a firearm in commission of murder.
