Authorities say the owner of a Lancaster roofing company has been shot to death in his home by an employee in a dispute over a debt.
John Vigil, 39, was arrested at the scene. The Sheriff's Department says Vigil went to the home of his boss, 49-year-old William Barnes, late Friday to confront him over money. The men began to struggle and at some point a shotgun was produced and fired at least twice. Barnes was shot in the torso and died in front of his wife and children.
Vigil's young son was grazed by a bullet and is listed in stable condition at an area hospital.
Investigators are trying to determine who owned the shotgun.
