Navy Identifies SEAL Killed In Live-Fire Exercise

The Navy has identified a SEAL killed during a live-fire training exercise as Petty Officer 2nd Class Alexander Ghane Junior of Las Vegas.

The 22-year-old SEAL died Wednesday from gunshot wounds suffered
during a combat training exercise in Lake Cormorant, Mississippi.

A Navy spokesman says a Coronado-based SEAL team was practicing
"close-quarter combat" at the time of the incident. Ghane's death is under investigation by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and the DeSoto County Sheriff's Department.
