Authorities say they've found the body of a third avalanche victim in the San Gabriel Mountains but a missing snowboarder is safe.
The body was discovered by searchers this morning near the
Mountain High ski resort.
He's believed to be one of two people who went missing after a series of avalanches struck the Wrightwood area yesterday.
The last missing man, a snowboarder, spent the night on the freezing mountain and walked out of the forest this morning. He was examined at a hospital, found to be in good shape, and sent home.
Two other people died in yesterday's avalanches, one of them an
experienced member of a resort ski patrol. All the victims were in out-of-bounds ski areas.
