Search crews looking for a 62-year-old hiker who went missing in the San Bernardino Mountains during the ongoing winter storm.
San Bernardino County sheriff's spokeswoman Arden Wiltshire said
early Sunday that the man left his weekend home in the Green Valley
Lake area Friday afternoon just before the storm began.
The man used his cell phone Friday to tell authorities that he lost his sense of direction in the fog. Searchers last had cell phone contact with the man early Saturday.
Wiltshire says the area where the man is thought to be was hit late Saturday with snow, but that he is believed to be dressed warmly.
She says he is thought to know the area well and have good survival skills from previous military training.
