A purported drug ring member has been arrested in Long Beach after more than a year on the lam since an indictment targeted 59 gangsters for allegedly selling massive amounts of narcotics nationwide.
Officials say 31-year-old Victor Flores tried to jump out a bedroom window when a regional crime task force descended on the residence at 4 a.m. Wednesday to serve the arrest warrant.
Flores has been a fugitive since a federal indictment identified him and 58 other alleged gang members in the East Side Wilmas national drug distribution ring in 2006.
The indictment says the gang drug ring sold up to 800 pounds of
methamphetamine a month nationwide.
