A San Bernardino man was arrested after he told a deputy who pulled him over and found a stack of license plates that he was a CIA agent.
Federico Mucio was arrested in Loma Linda for investigation of possessing stolen property and owning or making false license plate
Authorities say the 45-year-old Mucio produced what appeared to be a CIA identification card after he was pulled over Saturday for a broken taillight.
Authorities say the deputy searched Mucio's backpack and found 12 license plates from five different states and a U.S. government plate that was later found to have been stolen.
Investigators say a program was found on a computer in Mucio's home to make fake registration tabs.
Deputies do not believe Mucio was a government agent, although they had not gotten definitive word from the CIA as of Monday morning.
