Authorities say a former lab technician at the University of California San Diego is behind bars Sunday in connection with a phoned-in bomb threat against a research building on the La Jolla campus.
The FBI says 50-year-old Timothy Bryon Kalka was arrested early
Sunday morning at his San Diego home.
After media outlets played the recorded bomb threat Thursday, several people called the authorities saying they recognized Kalka's voice.
Kalka had been fired from the university Nov. 30.
He's been booked on a number of federal charges and is expected to appear in court Monday.
