A Marine drill instructor convicted of mistreating 23 recruits, admittedly giving one a black eye, says he was taught to abuse raw Marines.
Former Sergeant Jerrod Glass tells the Associated Press he's been ordered to testify against his two drill instructors.
Glass says he's going to say that everything he learned, he learned from the two instructors. He also says that they supervised it and condoned it.
The two instructors have pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and other offenses.
Glass was convicted last month of eight counts of cruelty and maltreatment, destruction of personal property, assault and violating orders on how to properly treat recruits.
