Planes are landing again at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank where heavy fog had shut down runways into the morning. Departures are expected to be delayed throughout the early part of the day.
Planes scheduled to land at the airport overnight were canceled or rerouted because of the fog.
Airport spokesman Victor Gill says 12 flights were unable to land, so those planes weren't available for departing passengers.
As planes start landing, airlines will begin catching up on missed flights.
But Gill says operations won't be back to normal until later in the day.
