3,000 Take Part in LA March Against Homelessness

Organizers say more than 3,000 people took to the streets today for the city's first "HomeWalk."

The 5-kilometer walk raised more than a half-million dollars to aid the homeless.

Authorities estimate 48,000 people are homeless in Los Angeles on any given night.

The march coincided with similar events in Washington, D.C. and six other cities across the nation.
