A Marine Corps recruiting office prompted a battle of the bullhorns in downtown Berkeley today as pro- and anti-war demonstrators rallied for their respective causes Wednesday.
The two groups, kept on opposite sides of the street by police, spent several hours hold up signs, waving flags and chanting slogans at each other.
The Marine office opened some months ago but was only recently
discovered by the anti-war group Code Pink.
They have been holding regular demonstrations, which led to the counter-protest this morning.
