A hearing at which Phil Spector is to announce the identity of new lawyers for his murder retrial has been advanced one day to October 22nd because of scheduling conflicts of two lawyers who still remain on his team.
A D-A's spokeswoman confirmed the new date today.
Superior Court Judge Larry Fidler scheduled the hearing after declaring a mistrial on September 26th when a jury deadlocked 10-2 with the majority favoring conviction after a six month trial.
Although Fidler ordered Spector to find a new legal team quickly and get ready for trial, attorney Christopher Plourd said the record producer is continuing to interview candidates and has not made a final selection.
Spector is accused of murdering actress Lana Clarkson in February 2003 at his Alhambra mansion.
