3 Charged With Long Beach Murder Are Marines

Police in Long Beach have confirmed that three men accused of murdering a former high school water polo player are U.S. Marines based at Camp Pendleton.

Nineteen-year-old Trevor Glenn Landers, 23-year-old Ramon Hernandez, and 20-year-old Anthony Red Vigeant have each been charged with murder, attempted burglary and attempted robbery.

Police say one of the men had been injured during a deployment.

The three are accused of shooting 22-year-old David Pettigrew, whose body was discovered inside a Long Beach apartment September 10th.

Authorities say Pettigrew suffered gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Arraignment for the three men was scheduled for yesterday, but has been moved to October 31st.
