Brazilian Man Arrested In Connection With San Bernardino Abduction

A 68-year-old Brazilian man has been arrested at Los Angeles International Airport in connection with the abduction of a 38-year-old San Bernardino woman.

James Eger was arrested Thursday at LAX as he awaited a flight to leave the country.

Authorities say Eger picked up the woman for paid sex in San Bernardino on Wednesday afternoon, then took her to the Baldy Mesa
area against her will.

The woman panicked and tried to get out of the car, but Eger pulled her back in by the hair. A witness pulled up, the woman screamed for help, and the witness wrote down Eger's license plate number.

Authorities said he then let her go and drove off.

FBI agents, U.S. Marshals and sheriff's detectives found Eger at the airport and arrested him on suspicion of kidnapping and false imprisonment.
