Richmond Mother Pleads Not Guilty In 8-Year-Old Son's Death

A mother charged in her 8-year-old son's death after allegedly locking him in his room and beating him repeatedly pleaded not guilty today to murder, torture and child abuse charges.

Teresa Moses, of Richmond, was accused of the crimes after her son Raijon Daniels died last October.

An autopsy report listed the cause of his death as battered child syndrome.

Moses initially told police she thought her son drank cleaning fluid before he died in the emergency room, but the autopsy found none in his system.
