Gaming innovator WMS unveiled a new state-of-the-art office facility in southeast Reno Friday. Company president Orrin Edidin was joined by employees and Reno Mayor Bob Cashell for the ribbon-cutting and dedication. The $11 million structure is the first new office building to be built in the area in more than a year.
The vibrant new WMS building will house 80 employees in sales, distribution, development and operations. Mayor Cashell says he feels the new facility is a sign of good things to come for the local economy. “In this economic time to have them expand and do that shows a lot of faith in our community and we're just very, very happy." he said.
WMS President, Orrin Edidin says the bright décor and conveniences, like a weight room in the structure, are designed to make employees happy and more productive. "We want to provide the best environment for employees to work and flourish in and as we continue to make these innovative products we can continue to succeed." he explained. In addition to its stylish design, the building is also LEED certified, which means it meets strict environment and conservation guidelines.
