Starbucks New Blend is $7 a Cup

SEATTLE, Wa. -- A special blend of coffee at Starbucks is now going for $7 a cup.

The new premium coffee is Costa Rica Finca Palmilera. A tall costs $6 and a grande is $7. If you want the bag, you better bring $40 for a half pound of beans.

It's a type of "geisha" coffee, which is a heirloom, hard to find type of bean.

Initially this coffee will only be served at 48 stores, most of which are in Seattle. Next year the blend should go nationwide.

A similar brand of coffee sold online at Starbucks sold out in a day. There were only 450 bags made available, and each was numbered to show it's exclusivity.
