Gas Prices Up Nearly 20 Cents This Week

RENO, Nev.- Gas prices are going up in Nevada.

According to GasBuddy’s survey, prices are up almost 20 cents from last week at this time. The average price is now $3.33 a gallon in Nevada.

Compare that to the national average that has increased 14.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.48 a gallon.

"The national average has ticked higher in the last week, as rising oil prices have put upward pressure on gasoline prices," said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. "Unfortunately for angry motorists, there doesn't seem to be much relief in sight, at least for the time being, as retail prices continue to climb in virtually all areas of the country," DeHaan said.

Compared to last year at this time, prices are almost 13 cents lower across Nevada.
