Former Pack Star Fazekas Signs with Japanese Team

Former Wolf Pack star Nick Fazekas has signed to play pro basketball over in Japan.

Fazekas will play for the Toshiba Brave Thunders. They went 8-34 last season, coming in last in the Japanese Basketball League (JBL.)

Fazekas played for the San Miguel Beermen last season in the Philippines. He averaged 22.6 points and 13.8 rebounds, leading the Beermen to the ASEAN Basketball Finals. They lost to the Indonesia Warriors in three games.

Fazekas is Nevada's all-time leading scorer. He was a second round pick by the Dallas Mavericks (34th overall) back in the 2007 NBA Draft.

In his NBA career, he played for the Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers, averaging 4.1 points and 3.4 rebounds in 26 games.

Fazekas has also played for the Reno Bighorns of the NBA Development League.
