Reno's Kevin Jepsen Recalled to Big Leagues

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Bishop Manogue graduate Kevin Jepsen has been recalled by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He replaces Dan Haren on the Angels roster, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list with lower back stiffness.

Jepsen has appeared in 23 games this season in Triple-A Salt Lake. He's 2-2 with a 3.24 ERA and two saves. He's got 35 strikeouts in 25 innings pitched.

Jepsen pitched in nine games earlier this season with the Angels, going 0-1 with a 10.29 ERA. He gave up nine hits and eight earned runs in seven innings of work.
